Reconnaissance Trip Day 1 - Travel Day

After a FULL day of WORK (now I remember why we want to retire early) our travels began with the hour long drive from our home on the Eastern Plains to Denver International Airport for the first flight of this journey.  We are both very excited to get started.  Our first leg takes us from Denver to Dallas, TX (DFW Airport).  The flight was uneventful and after gathering our bags we hop on the Holiday Inn DFW Airport Shuttle for the short trip to our overnight accommodations.  The accommodations are AMAZING as we are immediately upgraded to a suite, which is a perk of having a husband who has the highest level status with the chain.

This is actually a nice stop over because it gives us both a chance to unwind and shift into "vacation mode" without the added language barriers we know our awaiting us when we get to Costa Rica.  Our actual flight to Costa Rica (SJO) doesn't leave until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.  Looking forward to sleeping in, chilling by the pool and just plain relaxing.
